Draw and opening ceremony of the 14th European Deaf Men & Women Tennis Championship, which starts tomorrow Saturday 19 of June at the Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy in Chersonissos and will last until June 26, took place at Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy.
The flag of EDSO (European Deaf Sports Organization) was hoisted in the presence of the athletes. The ceremony gathered the eyes of the athletes present as the emotion was great. The President of the Hellenic Sports Federation of the Deaf / President of European Deaf Sports Organization Mr. Iosif Stavrakakis, the President of EDTC2021 Organizing Committee / President of Sports Association of the Cretans Deafs “Minoas”, representatives of EDSO Mr. Anton Petric and Mr. Ota Pansky, welcomed everyone to this blessed place, announcing the beginning of the 14th European Deaf Tennis Championship.Mayor of Chersonissos Ioannis Segkos welcomed the effort of Hellenic Sports Federation of the Deaf, wishing good luck to the athletes, as well as the General Manager of Lyttos Beach Hotel Nikolaos Kritsotakis who he is also welcomed at Lyttos Beach Hotel and LBTA all athletes and officials.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, spectators are not allowed to attend during the European Deaf Tennis Champs.
